Misguided love is in the air after Hunter unwittingly fires off a few of Cupid’s magical star-crossed arrows.
Cupid catches hay fever as it's the first day of spring at Ever After High. After hanging around the balcony, she unknowingly drops her bow and arrows which land in a bush. She leaves because she needs to use her inhaler.
Hunter finds Cupid's arrows and decides on giving them back to Cupid, but discovers a target practice field and tries shooting at a target. Instead of hitting the target like a normal arrow, it flies off to an unknown location. The second one does the same. Abruptly, Hunter fires multiple arrows at once, which all fly away again. Unbeknownst to Hunter, the arrows that he fired were heart-seeking all this time, hitting nearby animals or students at school. As soon as Cupid finishes her bathroom break, Ashlynn comes in with Hunter, who is being ushered to return Cupid's bow and arrows. Apple pitches in a few ideas, but Cupid claims that meddling with love is impossible, as it's basically a force of nature. Though, she does come up with an idea of her own.
In the castleteria, Raven helps get the crowd's attention to Cupid, who distributes flowers called mood roses, which effectively breaks the love fever spell the arrows put on the students.
